National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is a week set aside specifically to recognize the hard work and dedication of our nation’s Public Safety Telecommunicators. In 1994, President Clinton signed the official bill that permanently set aside the second full week in April to recognize the men and women in this great profession. The United States has over 6,000 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) employed by Public Safety professionals dedicating their lives to helping others. The Noble Police Department would like to thank our dispatchers for the excellent job they do and continued dedication of emergency personnel assisting to protect our community! Chief Keith Springstead stated “he is proud of the work our dispatchers do in the stressful situations they deal with on a daily basis”.
