Noble City Council Proclaims April 2016 as School Library Month

WHEREAS, the School Library Program is essential to effective education for an information-based society; and

WHEREAS, by supporting the goals of the Noble Public Schools, and by serving all students and teachers, this program is an integral part of the instructional process, Kindgergarten through grade Twelve; and

WHEREAS, the School Library Program offers an environment conducive to reading and learning, critical thinking, creative expression, investigation and research, professional growth, and curriculum development and enhancement; and 

WHEREAS, the School Library Program in Noble is enriched by its dedicated staff, volunteers, and many gifts from P.T.A. and Community.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Noble does hereby proclaim that the City of Noble joins with towns across the nation in declaring April "School Library Month;" and

DOES FURTHER proclaim that students and other citizens of the City of Noble are encouraged to visit the School Libraries in each of our schools to partake of the special programs planned for the month-long celebration and to familiarize themselves with the services always available.
