The City Council of Noble has called for a special election on January 14th, 2025 to consider the approval of a bond proposal in the amount of $510,000 to acquire a new ambulance for the Noble Fire/EMS department.

  • The funds will be used towards the procurement of a brand new chassis and ambulance box with all related and necessary equipment
  • This bond issue would be replacing the previous 2016 Noble EMS bond issue in the amount of $445,000 which ended in May, 2024. The tax rate is also the same as the 2016 EMS bond issue.

PROPOSITION NO. 1

Noble EMS District Projects

Shall the City of Noble, Oklahoma (the City) incur an indebtedness by issuing its bonds in the sum of Five Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($510,000.00) to provide funds for the purpose of acquiring one or more emergency medical vehicles (ambulances) and equipment related thereto, to be completed with or without the use of other funds, and collect an annual tax, in addition to all other taxes, upon the taxable property in such City sufficient to pay the interest on such bonds as it falls due and also to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of principal thereof when due, said bonds to be competitively sold and bear interest at the lowest rate not to exceed ten percentum (10%) per annum, payable semiannually and to become due within ten (10) years from their date; provided, however, that in no event shall such annual tax be in excess of three (3) mills for all bonds of the City issued under Section 9C, Article 10 of the Oklahoma Constitution?
