The City Council of Noble has called for a special election on January 14th, 2025 to consider adding a 5% Lodging Tax rate to rents from hotels in the City of Noble.
- There are currently no lodging taxes assessed by the City of Noble.
- The definition of “hotels” in the associated Ordinance 616 is defined as:
- “any building or buildings, structures, trailer, or other facility in which the public may, for consideration, obtain sleeping accommodations, and in which rooms are used for the accommodation of such occupant whether such rooms are in one or several structures. The term shall include hotels, apartment hotels, motels, tourist courts, lodging houses, inns, rooming houses, recreational vehicle (RV) park spaces, and all other facilities where rooms or sleeping facilities or space are furnished for consideration.
- The following uses are NOT SUBJECT to the proposed lodging tax: hospitals, mental health care facilities, assisted living centers, or nursing homes.

PROPOSITION NO. 2
Noble Lodging Tax
Shall the City of Noble, Oklahoma be authorized to levy and collect a five percent (5.0%) excise tax (lodging sales tax), in addition to any and all other City, County and State excise taxes presently being levied or assessed, upon the gross proceeds or gross receipts derived from rents received from the occupancy of lodging facilities as set forth in Ordinance No. 616 of the City, with the proceeds thereof being used to support the functions of the municipal government of the City, all as more specifically set forth in Ordinance No. 616 of the City of Noble, Oklahoma?
